O Museum of Portuguese Language will present a new temporary exhibition starting at the end of May, in São Paulo. “African Languages that Make Brazil” will be curated by musician and poet Tiganá Santana.
The exhibition will address the influence and presence of Bantu languages, Yoruba and eve-fon in the composition of Portuguese spoken in Brazil.
Non-verbal languages from the African continent, such as the use of turbans and braided hair, will also be highlighted in the project.

The judge and writer Marcelo Semer received guests for the launch event of his newest book, “Duas Fotos: Um Romance do Brasil da Lava Jato”, held at Bar dos Cravos, in São Paulo, last week. The retired judge Kenarik Boujikian, member of the Ethics Commission of the Presidency of the Republic, was there. The lawyer Fernando Augusto Fernandes also attended.
