Seven railroad cars derailed this Thursday on the Pátzcuaro-Uruapan sectionat kilometer N450-408, near the community of Ajuno. Fortunately, the incident left no people injured and was reported to the competent authorities.
According to first reports, the carriages partially left the tracks, and the accident is attributed to the softening of the ground caused by recent rains in the region.
Railway personnel are already on site working to restore service and solve the problem.
Based on reports, the cars are used to transport goods in containers, and during the derailment, the cars did not contain any cargo.
Just last Sunday, September 22, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) Michoacán had reported on the derailment of 18 cars on line N, at kilometer point N-558+400, between the Tomendán and Huarenitzio stations. , in the Caltzontzin district.
