Nowadays, brides pay a lot of attention and care to the choice of their jewelry. They know that the earring plays a fundamental role in the light of her face, they know the effect that a small diamond can have on her bridal neckline and the importance that the bride’s bracelet gives to her entire style.

They seek advice on an initial idea and really enjoy the choice knowing that they will become main jewels in the jewelry box of their life. As for the guests, the earring has become the key jewel, capable of elevating a style, providing a trend and matching the personality of the guest.

Yellow gold is having a lot of presence in accessories catalogs. Do you notice that girlfriends are also joining in or is it not the most common thing yet?

Yes, that’s right, yellow gold jewelry is a choice that is increasing day by day. I think it goes hand in hand with the tiaras and headdresses in yellow gold and also, as a nod to the choice of gold shoes or even the color of the off-white fabric of the dress. But we cannot forget that the color gold brings warmth to the face and, as a designer, I am delighted to see how this trend is beginning to gain strength. Many brides choose yellow gold for the ceremony and white gold for the party or vice versa.

Does it influence the choice of jewelry if the bride is veiled?

Yes, it is an important factor to take into account when choosing earrings. On the one hand, it is important that the earrings are visible behind the veil and, on the other hand, there are jewelry styles that do not work on a veiled bride. It is important that everything plays in perfect harmony. An Imperial style earring, with a natural pearl or teardrop-cut white agate, always seems like a good choice for a veiled bride.

What if she wears a headdress or tiara?

The color of the tiara or headdress will mark the color of the bride’s jewelry, and also its style. If the tiara has natural ornaments evoking romanticism, I will recommend Jewelry from my collection Chantilly either Guipure so that it breathes the same harmony. If they are more modern tiaras, with a colored gem, a climbing earring with matching gems can work very well.

Beyond personal tastes, what other factors should a bride take into account when choosing her wedding jewelry?

For me, it is essential to take into account the bride’s physiognomy in terms of face and neck. If your face is elongated, we will try to compensate for it with an earring that gives it some volume and if, on the contrary, it is more square, we will stylize it by adding length to the earring. This is, for me, the main thing when looking for your perfect earring and all this taking into account, of course, the style of your dress, the type of hairstyle you will wear, the color of your eyes, your hair and complexion. , the type of neckline your dress will have and even the color of your wedding shoes.

What is the process of making a piece of jewelry in your workshop? How long can it take?

First, I make the design, on which the jeweler’s hands make a first prototype directly in sterling silver, which we test until we get it to have the desired shape, structure and movement. On this first prototype, we made a mold, from which we obtained a reproduction of the prototype in wax. This wax will be melted, allowing you to choose the type of noble metal in which we are going to make the jewel.

We only use Sterling Gold (18 carats) or Sterling Silver (925). When we obtain the cast jewel, we must review the metal and assemble all its parts, then we set the gems that give it; For gold, I always use diamonds and precious gems, and for silver, zircons and semi-precious gems. Finally, a precise and careful manual polishing gives it all the shine of these two noble metals.

When the jewel is made of white gold and silver, we will give it a rhodium bath that gives it greater whiteness and shine, and when it is made of gilded silver, we will immerse it in a yellow gold bath, turning it into a gilded silver jewel.
