Likewise, the ‘khedive of Egypt’ tiara with which she has adorned her head is a family heirloom that has been in the jewelery box of the Hellenic Royal Family for more than a century.

After passing through the altar, this Sunday the newlyweds gathered their guests again in the luxurious five-star hotel One & Only Aisthesis to celebrate a farewell brunch, where, surely, they will remember the funniest anecdotes from their wedding. The hotel chosen by Queen Sofia’s niece and husband is located on Glyfada beach, less than 20 kilometers from Athens. A dream enclave with views of the Aegean Sea and surrounded by 21 hectares of protected forest, in which there are also archaeological remains, whose design recalls the golden age of the Athenian Riviera.
