AN EIGHTH man, 40s, has been arrested and charged with the false imprisonment of a woman at a Dublin flat.
The victim, 30s, was found by Gardai from Pearse Street station after they swooped on a flat on Bolton Street in north Dublin on Thursday night.
Seven of the eight men who were initially arrested following the horror incident have since also been charged.
They appeared before the Criminal Courts of Justice yesterday morning, September 28.
The eighth man, aged in his 40s, is now set to appear before Criminal Courts of Justice (CCJ), on Monday morning, September 30, at 10.30am.
A garda spokesperson said: “The eighth man, aged in his 40s arrested in relation to the alleged false imprisonment of a female at a property in Bolton Street, Dublin 7 on Thursday 26th September, 2024 has now been charged.
“He is due to appear before Criminal Courts of Justice (CCJ), on Monday morning 30th September 2024 at 10:30am.
“Investigations ongoing.”
It is understood that the victim suffered broken bones and burns across her body.
The investigation is being run by District Detective Units at Pearse Street and the Bridewell.
It’s understood the chief suspects are all in their 20s with the juvenile aged 17.
The suspects are also known to Gardai for involvement in street level drug dealing

In a statement, Gardai told the Irish Sun: “Gardai in Bridewell arrested 8 (eight) males in relation to an investigation into alleged false imprisonment of a female, aged in her 30s at a property in Bolton Street, Dublin 7 on the evening of Thursday 26th September, 2024.
“The eight males, (aged in their 20s, 30s , 50s and one juvenile) are all currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Garda stations in the Dublin region.
“Investigations ongoing.”
