Yesterday, Saturday September 28, Princess Theodora of Greece married American lawyer Matthew Kumar in the Cathedral of the Annunciation of Saint Mary – also known as the Metropolitan – in Athens. There are several guests belonging to European Royal Houses who did not want to miss the long-awaited wedding, as is the case of Queen Sofia, who was able to find the ideal balance between elegance and functionality with her choice of clothing.
Without a doubt, one of the most acclaimed figures upon her arrival was Doña Sofía, who returned to the place where she said her “yes, I want” to King Juan Carlos in 1962. She was accompanied by her daughters, the infantas Elena and Cristina, and by three of his grandchildren, Juan Valentín, Irene and Miguel Urdangarin, and he took advantage of his stay in the capital to champion Spanish fashion. He did it debuting a sophisticated suit bathed in fuchsia tone.
While it is true that at first we might think that it is an impeccable dress, in reality, it is a two piece set. A set consisting of a jacket with a slightly V-neck, subtle puffed sleeves, diagonal draped detail and jewel trim on the hem and long pleated pants –with great movement– in tune. Alexander of Miguel is the creative behind the design of queen sofiahome made in Spain in which we have already seen her trust on other occasions.
The chosen jewelry has not gone unnoticed either. The Queen has taken maximum care of her style and, to complete the bet, she chose a platinum bow brooch with worn diamonds belonging to the royal jewelerwhich he carried in the proclamation of Don Juan Carlos in 1975. Likewise, he ended his glamorous proposal with the sum of a clutch with sparkles and high heels beige.
