An eight-year-old boy has died after suffering gunshots wounds to his head in Cumbria, local police have said.
Police were called to a farm in Warcop, Cumbria at around 2.50pm on Saturday.
The boy was a taken to a local hospital having suffered serious and life-threatening injuries to his head and face but died overnight.
A man in his 60s was arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in custody.
