Dutch sign makers in Dubai – Sign Benelux

On Monday 23 September, the SI’BON trade association travelled to Dubai with a group of 44 people as part of a study trip. In addition to a visit to the SGI Expo, the fascinating city is being thoroughly enjoyed. A possible visit to a wrapping company is also being taken.

Trade association SI’BON organised this study trip. This week, participants can familiarise themselves with the latest developments in the field of signmaking in Dubai. In addition, there is ample opportunity to explore the city and its surroundings. For example, the first few days were spent enjoying the impressive Dubai Mall and the breathtaking view from the Burj Khalifa. In addition, the rich history of the city was discovered in the historical Bastakya district and various markets were visited.

Trade fair visit

On Wednesday a visit to the SGI Dubai 2024 Expo on the program. “Although a lot of familiar territory, I mainly went looking for sustainable materials and solutions. It is clear that the Netherlands / Europe is leading in the attention for recycling and green, but here too there were interesting new brands to discover. Always valuable to keep up with the latest developments and gain new perspectives,” says Cameron Koopman of SI’BON from Dubai.

Variation

This week also includes an off-road tour in the desert with a mystical evening under the stars, a boat trip and a possible visit to a wrapping company. Car enthusiasts can optionally take an excursion to Ferrari World. On Sunday 29 September the group will fly back to Amsterdam. The group consists of Certified Sign Companies and at SI’BON affiliated suppliers.
