Greece stocks lower at close of trade; Athens General Composite down 0.17% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Athens, the declined 0.17%.

The best performers of the session on the were Thessaloniki Water and Sewage Co SA (AT:), which rose 3.80% or 0.12 points to trade at 3.28 at the close. Meanwhile, Thessaloniki Port Authority SA (AT:) added 2.38% or 0.50 points to end at 21.50 and Petros Petropoulos SA (AT:) was up 1.75% or 0.14 points to 8.14 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Quality and Reliability SA (AT:), which fell 2.26% or 0.03 points to trade at 1.21 at the close. Ellaktor SA (AT:) declined 1.99% or 0.04 points to end at 1.97 and Alpha Bank SA (AT:) was down 1.97% or 0.03 points to 1.59.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 72 to 51 and 15 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.67% or 18.15 to $2,676.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.52% or 0.35 to hit $68.02 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.34% or 0.24 to trade at $71.33 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 100.06.
