Three Health Care Establishments of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) were certified by the General Health Council (CSG) for comply with the Single Model for Evaluation of Patient Quality and Safety.
The General Health Council is a collegiate body that depends on the President of the Republic and has the character of a health authority, its objective is to identify priority issues of general health such as crises and epidemics, as well as to convene intersectorally for their analysis and to follow up on those responsible for their execution.
Family Medicine Unit (UMF) 18 of Tijuana, Baja California; and UMF 34 of Guadalajara, Jalisco were certified in the category of Outpatient Establishments; while in the category of Medical Care Establishments Public Hospitals, the High Specialty Medical Unit (UMAE) Gynecology-Obstetrics Hospital 4 āDr. Luis Castelazo Ayalaā, in Mexico City.
During the first Certification Ceremony in the Single Quality Assessment Model, Dr. Italy Adriana Arvizutechnical coordinator of Medical Risks, Quality and Patient Safety of the IMSS, attended on behalf of the Director General of Social Security.
However, Zoe Robledohighlighted that the distinction was given after the Certification Commission evaluated the Quality and Patient Safety Management System in these units.
