LUKE HUMPHRIES beat Luke Littler in the Swiss Darts Trophy – but a pundit reckons neither are happy after the game.
Cool Hand beat the teenager 6-3 to book his place in the quarter-finals of the penultimate European Tour event of the year.
But despite victory, Humphries was not at his best, throwing just one 180 and his highest checkout was 64.
Littler also struggled in Basel, missing five throws to get a leg on the board and landing over 140 just six times.
The 17-year-old was also broken three times and appeared to be growing increasingly frustrated throughout the match.
Fans even thought he “gave up” in the eighth leg as he laughed off two dismal darts and chucked his third in anger.
PDC TV commentator Dan Dawson was underwhelmed by the quality on show, saying: “Neither man happy with how they’ve played.
“It’s their C, D, maybe their E game and yet it’s still mid-90s averages.
“The world No. 1 goes on into the final session of action in the first ever Swiss Darts Trophy.”
Humphries will face Josh Rock in this evening’s quarter-final after he beat Rob Cross 6-4.
