A MAJOR Irish road is set to close for a number of hours tonight – with drivers told to “drive with care.”
Motorists will not be able to use Dublin‘s Port Tunnel from 9:30pm to 4:30am.

Dublin Tunnel on X, formerly Twitter, shared the update with their followers.
They wrote: “Good Morning! The Dublin Tunnel will be closed tonight, Thursday.
“Full Tunnel Closure 21:30 to 04:30. Drive with care!”
Tunnel users are advised that during closures all HGVs must use Alfie Byrne Road when travelling to or from Dublin Port from the north city.
Motorists are being advised to follow Electronic Message Signs located at Poplar Row and East Wall Road.
Only cars are allowed to use East Wall Road between Alfie Byrne Road and Poplar Row.
The twin tunnels, 4.5 km in length, first opened to drivers on December 20, 2006.
It is part of the M50 motorway and completes the northern part of the C-Ring around Dublin city.
The tunnel is a dedicated route for Heavy Goods Vehicles between the Port and the greater road network via the Coolock Lane Interchange (M50).
Meanwhile, an Irish driving instructor has revealed the important theory test question that you could be asked on the day.
Lara, known on TikTok as @laralewisdrivingschool, is a popular instructor with almost 20,000 followers on the app.
She took to TikTok to share the question that a lot of people don’t know they may be asked.
On the day of your driving test, your examiner may ask you different theory questions that you may not be prepared for.
And Lara warned her followers that they may be asked what the difference is between a pelican and a zebra crossing.
A pelican crossing is a traffic control system that allows pedestrians to safely cross the road by pressing a button to activate traffic lights.
This crossing has a green man signal for pedestrians and a red signal for vehicles, ensuring a safe crossing for pedestrians.
A zebra crossing, however, has black and white road stripes that give priority to pedestrians, and vehicles are required to stop when someone is waiting to cross.
She said: “A pelican crossing is controlled by lights.
“A zebra crossing is controlled by flashing amber beacons which is how you’d recognise it at night, and also the presence of pedestrians at or on the crossing.”
