The collaboration between the producer David E. Kelley and Nicole Kidman ends, so far, with three series that, although they have had uneven success, are characterized by his portrait of dark secrets (and always criminals) from good families. Yes in Big Little Lies —its great success— brought together four disparate women in a middle-class California community, and in the failed The Undoing (in which Kidman starred alongside Hugh Grant) told us about a New York couple with an intriguing background, in this new The perfect couple, which has been placed first in number of views since it arrived on the platforma week ago, we traveled to the idyllic and peaceful town of Nantucket, a summer colony of the intellectual bourgeoisie, to delve into the secrets, infidelities and crimes within the family of a successful writer, Greer Garrison Winbury (her own Kidman), at the moment when they meet to celebrate the wedding of their second son with a normal girl (Eve Hewson) and that is not celebrated due to the appearance of a corpse on the shore of the lake. Although we have seen the story summarized in this way a thousand times, the script, full of surprises, and the fantastic ensemble of actors make it a super addictive series with a certain feminist reading.
