Group play in the four divisions begins in September and concludes in November.

54 nations are participating.

The two best-placed teams in the four groups in the A division will advance to the quarter-finals to be decided in March 2025. The semi-finals will be played on 4-5 June, the third-prize match on 7 June and the final on 8 June.

The group winners in the B, C and D divisions are moved up one division to the next Nations League. A group victory could also open the door to the playoff stage in the World Cup qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

Promotion and relegation qualifiers are introduced where the third team from A, second and third teams in B and second placed teams in C are included. There is also a qualifier between the two best fourth-placed teams in C against the runners-up in the D division. The matches will be played in March 2025.

Match days in the autumn group stage are 5-7 and 8-10 September, 10-12 and 13-15 October, 14-16 and 17-19 November.
