Two hundred boats fill the Pontevedra estuary with sails in the Rey Juan Carlos Regatta

With the premiere of new classes in the race, the second day of the 9th Rey Juan Carlos Regatta – El Corte Inglés Master brought together two hundred boats this Saturday in the Pontevedra estuary. While seven of the nine divisions will still play for the final victory tomorrow, the 6 Meter fleet has completed its competition program today with victory for King Juan Carlos’s “Bribon” in Classics and for Violeta Álvarez’s “Stella” in Open .

As the reports pointed out, the wind blew this Saturday with much less intensity than on the first day of competition, and the truth is that the committee had to wait to be able to start the second day of racing. Finally, conditions improved and around two-thirty in the afternoon, with a northwest wind of about 6-7 knots, the fleet resumed the competition.
