Zacatlán de las Manzanas, fun and nature Sierra Norte Puebla- Grupo Milenio

Nestled in the Sierra Norte of Puebla, between large mountains, dreamy fog and lush vegetation, it stands Zacatlán de las Manzanas, one of the 10 magical towns of the entity that offers a unique experience of fun and nature it is about.

Opinion shared by Santiago Gallardo, another tourist who remarkably excitedly affirms to MILLENNIUM that the experience was “great, the truth was it was a lot of fun, the excitement, the adrenaline, it was great.”

And of course the jewel in the crown is reaching the base of the waterfall, an attraction that measures 335 meters of fall and that receives between 300 and 500 people a day, without a doubt a place to reconnect with nature.

Just as Angelica Altamirano did, a tourist from Mexico City, who chose Zacatlán to celebrate his birthday.

“Wonderful, it really is the most wonderful thing I have ever seen, I really wanted to come here… I come to celebrate my birthday here, today is my birthday, I turn 58, of all my birthdays this is the best.”

“The climate is the main protagonist of this municipality. It is wonderful to be able to perceive from the viewpoints of the ravine when the fog emerges from the bottom of the ravine. And to close with a flourish, a traditional cheese bread fresh from the wood oven or an apple wrapped in puff pastry, a culinary delight, says Rocío Cano, a renowned baker in the region.

“It’s an apple, we put it whole and it’s wrapped in puff pastry, it’s a dough that has butter, similar to a thousand leaves, we wrap it, we add cinnamon and the apple comes out cooked along with the puff pastry and the truth comes out crunchy, very tasty… and you can fill it with milk, with liquor, with whatever you want”

And if accommodation worries you, don’t worry, Zacatlán de las Manzanas offers all kinds of rooms that will make you feel at home.

“We can accommodate up to 12,000 people per night with approximately 300 hotels, glampis, cabins and other spaces that we have for lodging,” says the municipal tourism director.
