But Zacatlán is not only ecotourism, among its cobblestone streets other wonders are hidden such as the glass murals, more than 90 meters long that tell the past and present of this magical town, an ideal place for photos of instagram as well as the glass viewpoint in the middle of the goldfinch ravine that will make you feel like you are floating among the clouds.
“The climate is the main protagonist of this municipality. It is wonderful to be able to perceive from the viewpoints of the ravine when the fog emerges from the bottom of the ravine. It is a divine spectacle, this chipichipi that characterizes us,” he tells MILLENNIUM Arleen Balderas director of municipal tourism.
And to close with a flourish, a traditional cheese bread fresh from the wood oven or an apple wrapped in puff pastry, a culinary delight, says Rocío Cano, a renowned baker in the region.
“It’s an apple, we put it whole and it’s wrapped in puff pastry, it’s a dough that has butter, similar to a thousand leaves, we wrap it, we add cinnamon and the apple comes out cooked along with the puff pastry and the truth comes out crunchy, very tasty… and you can fill it with milk, with liquor, with whatever you want”

“We can accommodate up to 12,000 people per night with approximately 300 hotels, glampis, cabins and other spaces that we have for lodging,” says the municipal tourism director.
