The Nobel Prizes 2024one of the most prestigious distinctions worldwide, will be awarded starting on Monday October 7.
These awards, which cover categories such as Medicine, Physics, Chemistry, Literature, Peace and Economicswill be awarded in ceremonies that will take place in both Stockholm and Oslo, and are considered a symbol of excellence and achievement outstanding in various areas of knowledge and human activity.

The current global context, marked by the climate crisis and armed conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, gives this year’s Nobel Prize winners a particular weight.
In this framework, the Nobel Peace Prize, to be awarded on October 11takes on special relevance.
With a fractured international scenario and more than 50 armed conflicts underway, some experts, such as Dan Smith, director of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), raise the possibility that this year the award not be grantedas has happened on 19 previous occasions, the last of them in 1972 during the war of Vietnam.
However, Olav Njolstad, secretary of the Nobel Committee, assures that there are worthy candidates of the award this year.
With a total of 286 applicationsincluding Palestinian and Israeli human rights organizations such as Al Haq and B’Tselam, as well as the UN Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA), the selection process for the Nobel Peace Prize is full of expectations.

Schedules for the 2024 Nobel Prizes
Below are the times at which the winners of the 2024 Nobel Prizes will be announced, adapted to Mexico time, which will take place during the early morning:
- Nobel Prize in Medicine: Monday, October 7, at 03:30 am.
- Nobel Prize in Physics: Tuesday, October 8, at 03:45 am.
- Nobel Prize Chemistry: Wednesday, October 9, at 03:45 am.
- Nobel Prize for Literature: Thursday, October 10, at 05:00 am.
- Nobel Peace Prize: Friday, October 11, at 03:00 am.
- Nobel Prize in Economics: Monday, October 14, at 03:45 am.
The winners of each category will receive a gold medala diploma and a cash prize amounting to approximately 11 million Swedish crowns 1 million dollars Americans.
In case there is several award winners in the same category, the cash prize will be divided between them.
