In a globalized and highly competitive context, the English proficiency became an essential tool to improve the job opportunities and salaries.
According to the calculation of the Chilean platform Poliglota, an account executive who does not speak English can expect to earn between 8 thousand and 12 thousand pesos per month, while those who master the language could have an income of around 25 thousand pesos per month in the same position. , which would represent an increase of more than 50 percent.
However, in Mexico, only two out of ten people speak this language fluentlyleaving many workers limited in their growth potential.
Furthermore, if English becomes an essential requirement to access higher-level positions, salaries could skyrocket to 50 thousand pesos per month in management positions.
Faced with this reality, Poliglota launched a new free tool that allows employees to know how much their income could increase if they mastered English at an advanced level.
This tool, based on data from studies by various human resources consultancies and artificial intelligence (IA), offers an accurate estimate of the salary that professionals in their positions could receive if they improved their language skills.
“What we are looking for is for people to realize that they could receive higher income by mastering English in their current positions and also be able to find better options or advance in positions,” commented Carlos Aravena, CEO and Co-founder of Poliglota.
This highlights how the ability to communicate in English can make the difference between an average salary and a considerably higher income.
Aravena highlighted the importance of seeing learning English not only as an additional skill, but as a long-term investment.
