In its latest report, the institute detailed that the dependent staff fell 0.1 percent and the non-dependent staff0.6 percent at a monthly rate.
In the eighth month of the year and with seasonally adjusted figures, the Global Remuneration Index of Economic Sectors (IGRESE) It was 112 points, which means that it increased, in real terms, 1.1 percent compared to last July.
In August and with seasonally adjusted data, the Global Index of Real Average Remunerations of Economic Sectors (IGREMSE) It grew 1.2 percent at a monthly rate and reached a level of 113.4 points.
While, unlike August 2023, the employed sector decreased 0.9 percent and salaries, or ENTERrose 3.9 percent and the IGREMSEalso increased 4.9 percent.
He Inegi explained that the IGlobal Personnel and Remuneration Indices of Economic Sectors (IGPERSE), from January 2023 to July 2024, were reviewed and updated based on the “Guidelines for changes to the information disclosed in the statistical and geographical publications of the National Institute of Statistics and Geography”,
This is due to the modifications in the Encuesta. Manufacturing Industry Monthly (EMIM) which is a source of information for the IGPERSE. Therefore, the figures from January to August 2024 have a preliminary status.
According to the data of the Inegi the Economic Censuses (EC) of 2019 reported a total of 27.1 million people employed in Mexico.
Of these, approximately 94.7 percent worked in the five economic sectors contemplated in the calculation of the IGPOSE (construction companies, manufacturing industries, wholesale and retail trade, and private non-financial services). This figure represents a little more than 25 million people throughout the country.
