Mexican Real Estate Bank reaches 17 thousand clients – Grupo Milenio

He Mexican Real Estate Bank (BIM) reached 17 thousand clients throughout the country and through its Bridge Credits has achieved a commercial portfolio of 10,979 million pesos.

“We are proud to have more than 17 thousand clients throughout the country. Since 2009, when we began to grant Puente Credits as a non-banking financial entity, to date, our commercial portfolio in this product amounts to 10,979 million pesos, benefiting real estate developers throughout Mexico,” highlighted Víctor Manuel Requejo, president of the BIM Board of Directors.

As part of its eleventh anniversary, which it celebrated in October, it recalled its history as a financial entity, where it has innovated to provide credit and financial solutions to developers who build homes and infrastructure to create communities in the country.

Through a statement, the president of BIM explained that “real estate does not only mean housing, it means any place where an activity takes place, for health a hospital, for entertainment a theater or a cinema, a sports center, commerce, industrial, now wineries, with the nearshoringoffices…”

“When we talk about real estate, we not only have to talk about housing, there are many additional things, we need to finance whoever buys the land so that they can develop it and sell it,” he added.

In addition, he said that the abundance in the country is constructions of all kinds, “we do not have to be so ambitious because what we have is not enough, in housing we finance between 8 and 10 percent of what is done in Mexico”.

He even indicated that the program for housing construction of the current government, from the economic point of view of the country “is good”, coupled with the objective of making one million deeds.

“We need more notaries, we have to push for the public registries to register half a million houses that will be deeded, not just built, but deeded because all of this promotes the country’s economy and if there is a strong economy in the end people buy houses because they earn Better yet, you get married, you feel secure in your job; In the end we will do very well” argued Manuel Requejo.
