As in many aspects of lifeit all depends on the angle from which you look at it, and even more so if we talk about shadows. They are our most faithful companions in the sunlight, it is impossible to get rid of them and, although they are our faithful reflection, sometimes they can seem very different, as if by magic. The images that accompany these lines They are taken by expert shadow hunters who have traveled to the hottest deserts on the planet, from the Sahara to the Namib or Australiawith its characteristic reddish sand.
There they have photographed from a paraglider, arriving at a maximum height of 150 metersto various animals in the wild. The silhouettes projected by antelopes, elephants, zebras, giraffes and solitary leopards have become the objective of their cameras, in addition to a caravan of camels that crosses the dunes at sunset. The result is a symphony of giant shadows and sometimes golden glows choreographed by the desert’s waning light.
