Several children and adults were taken to a hospital in Pennsylvania on Friday night after consume mushrooms that made them sick, according to the authorities.
Emergency medical personnel responded to a 9:30 a.m. call. 11 people who fell ill after eating mushrooms in Peach Bottom Township, Post 57 of the Delta-Cardiff Volunteer Fire Department in Peach Botton Township indicated on social media.
“The units were informed that 11 people had consumed toxic mushrooms and all were sick,” the publication indicated.
The text described the emergency in York County as a situation of “mass victims” and said emergency units from York, Lancaster and Hartford counties had been dispatched.
Delta-Cardiff Fire Chief Laura Taylor said the children and adults had been transferred to WellSpan York Hospital in York and were stable, according to WPMT-TV.
Pennsylvania State Police also responded to the private residence, according to WPMT.
Peach Bottom Township is near the Maryland borderabout 90 kilometers (56 miles) southeast of Harrisburg, the capital of the state of Pennsylvania.
