Thousands of lives were forever altered and upended when Hamas terrorists invaded Israel on Oct. 7, butchering more than 1,200 people and kidnapping 251 others.
Those hostages whom Hamas abducted and dragged to Gaza as human shields and bargaining chips quickly became a rally cry.
Israelis and supporters of Israel around the world plastered their images on posters across so no one could forget their names and faces.
Now, a year since the war in Gaza began, 97 hostages are still being held by Hamas.
Sixty four hostages are still believed to be alive; 33 are confirmed to be dead — and their remains held by the terrorists.
Those in captivity include parents and grandparents, sons and daughters, teachers, farmers, students, young soldiers and even those who advocated for peace between Israelis and Palestinians.
Among them are also seven Americans, three of whom have been killed.
These are all the 97 hostages who are still being held in Gaza after they were dragged out of Israel by Hamas terrorists.

Edan Alexander, 20, Israeli-American: Alexander is a New Jersey high school graduate who joined the Israel Defense Forces and served as a member of the Golani Brigade’s 51st Battalion stationed near Kibbutz Kissufim.
Ohad Ben Ami, 55: Ohad, an Israeli-German citizen, was kidnapped from Kibbutz Be’eri with his wife, who was released during the first hostage exchange last November.
Itay Chen, 19: The son of a Brooklynite, Itay was killed and his body taken to Gaza when Hamas stormed his military outpost. He is confirmed dead.
Sagui Dekel Chen, 36: Sagui, an Israeli-American, was among the people who saw Hamas approach Kibbutz Nir Oz, leading him to rush to help secure the village. He was captured while fighting to defend his home.
Eitan Horn, 38: Eitan, an Argentinian-Israeli who had previously served as an emissary in Peru, was visiting his older brother when Hamas attacked the family home.
Judi Weinstein Haggai, 70: The New York native and English teacher, who moved to Israel 30 years ago, was kidnapped alongside her husband, Gad. She is confirmed dead.
Yair Horn, 46: Yair, an Argentinian-Israeli, has hosting his younger brother when their family was attack by Hamas in Kibbutz Nir Oz.
Bipin Joshi, 23: Bipin, who is from Nepal, was a farming student who was working in an Israeli orchard when Hamas attacked.
Gad Haggai, 73: Gad, an Israeli-American, was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists while out on a stroll with his wife Judi. He is confirmed dead.
Ofer Kalderon, 53: Ofer, a French-Israeli citizen, was kidnapped near his Kibbutz Nir Oz home alongside his two children, who were released last year.
Omer Neutra, 22: Omer, of Plainview, New York, joined the IDF after deferring his acceptance to SUNY Binghamton. He was captured near his Israel base on Oct. 7, just a week before his birthday.
Joshua Loitu Mollel, 21: Joshua was an agricultural intern from Tanzania who was killed and taken back to Gaza on Oct. 7.

Lior Rudaeff, 61: The Israeli-Argentinian ambulance driver and volunteer medic was reportedly killed and his body taken to Gaza after he rushed off to respond to the terrorist attack.
Keith Samuel Siegel, 65: Keith is an Israeli-American citizen. He was abducted from his Kibbutz Kfar Aza home along with his wife, Aviva. The couple was driven into Gaza in their own car, according to his family. Aviva was later released.
Ohad Yahalomi, 50: Ohad, a French-Israeli citizen, was kidnapped by Hamas after engaging in a gunfight with one of the terrorists who broke into his house. Ohad was shot in the leg and then taken to Gaza.
Emily Damari, 28: Emily is the only British hostage still in captivity. She was abducted from Kibbutz Kfar Aza, and her car was seen driving toward Gaza.
