¡Junior Eurovision warm up your engines! It will be next November 16 when the Caja Mágica in Madrid dresses up to host the popular children’s festival, full of color, music and joy. Our country already has a representative, Chloe DelaRosa, a girl of only nine years old who wants to take Spain to the top of the leaderboard with the simple fun Like Lola.
It is a casual song that mixes pop with touches of flamenco. Throughout the song, the little performer wants to pay tribute to other women in the music industry whom she admires, such as Karol G, Rosalía, Olivia Rodrigo, Shakira and Taylor Swift. But, without a doubt, the main protagonist is Lola Floreswhom in the verses of the chorus he defines as “the greatest, the queen of hearts.”
Chloe has actively participated in the process of writing her song to which she has added a very special word for her: ‘singer’which is a combination between singer and artist. A very funny term with which she feels identified and which has become her hallmark. “I had to be there no matter what,” the girl expressed at a press conference.
After Like Lola the creative minds of David Parejosinger, producer and composer; Luis Ramiro, who also composed the issue Loviuwhich came in second place in 2023; and Alejandro Martínezwho has collaborated with artists of the stature of Pastora Soler and Rozalén. A job that Chloe couldn’t be happier with. “I love it. It is a song with a lot of strength and a lot of power. It is modern, but with the ‘flamencura’ that I have inside.”
The artistic director Javier Pageo has been in charge of the staging, while everything corresponding to the choreography has been prepared by the popular dancer Vicky Gómez. Ingredients that make the Spanish delegation dream of victory. “We want it to be liked in our country and throughout Europe,” declared María Eizaguirre, director of Communication and Participation at RTVE.
