PJF asks to prepare secondary laws for judicial reform – Grupo Milenio

A group of workers from Judicial Branch of the Federation (PJF) delivered two documents to the Chamber of Deputies in which they request that he be allowed to participate in the preparation and consultation of the secondary laws of the judicial reform and that legislators abide by the suspensions granted by District judges.

Patricia Aguayo Bernal, spokesperson for the workers in Mexico City, arrived at the scene; and Irma Elizabeth Monzón Velasco, representative of the 32 United Circuits.

What did the spokesperson for the PJF workers say?

“The objective of coming to the Chamber of Deputies today was to deliver a document requesting that the Political Coordination receive us with the purpose of participating in the preparation and consultation of the secondary laws that will implement the constitutional reform of the Judicial Branch of the Federation”.

“In addition to also requesting that legislators abide by the suspensions granted by federal judges in the different amparo trials that have been promoted against the procedure for the constitutional reform of the PJF,” said Aguayo Bernal.

What request do you make of Sheinbaum?

For his part, Monzón Velasco said that they are asking the president Claudia Sheinbaum who sits down to talk with them.

“We understand her position and we trust that, as a woman, she will break that glass ceiling and the workers of the Judicial Branch of the Federation have always asked that we be heard and we hope that she, as the first woman who has just assumed the position of president in Mexico respect the rights of all workers and above all listen to us, we do not want to confront her, we want dialogue, We have been asking for it with everyone and we hope that she opens that dialogue with all the workers.”

“And please understand the risks involved in the fact that the highest authorities of other powers do not comply with the suspension, which implies a serious risk for all ordinary citizens,” said Irma Elizabeth.

At the end of the presentation of the documents, Patricia Aguayo was questioned about Claudia Sheinbaum’s statements, who pointed out that judicial reform is advancing.

The spokesperson for the PJF workers in Mexico City commented:

“She is not a lawyer, she cannot give an opinion on what she does not know. Better that she give her opinion on her subject, on the environment, on her actions today as president and that she still has this country in a bloodbath. And if not, ask Chilpancingo.”
