The new frontal system, the third in the 2024-2025 seasonwill approach northern Mexico this Sunday, September 22.

• Very heavy rains in Coahuila.
• Heavy rains in Chihuahua, Durango, Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas and San Luis Potosi.
• Showers in Sinaloa, Zacatecas and Aguascalientes.

All precipitation could be accompanied by electrical discharges, gusts of wind and Possible hail.

There will be very heavy rains in these 9 states

They are expected showers and heavy to very heavy rainwith electrical discharges, in the north, northeast, east, center and west of the country.

The rains could occur as follows:

• Very heavy rains with intense points (75 to 150 mm): Chiapas, Oaxaca and Tabasco.
• Heavy rains with very heavy rainfall (50 to 75 mm): Campeche, Coahuila, Guerrero, Quintana Roo, Veracruz and Yucatan.
• Intervals of showers with heavy rain (25 to 50 mm): Chihuahua, Colima, Durango, State of Mexico, Jalisco, Michoacan, Morelos, Nayarit, Nuevo Leon, Puebla, San Luis Potosi and Tamaulipas.
• Intervals of showers (5 to 25 mm): Aguascalientes, Mexico City, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Querétaro, Sinaloa, Tlaxcala and Zacatecas.

Warning of winds of up to 60 kilometers per hour

Winds with gusts of 40 to 60 kilometers per hour are expected in Campeche, Yucatan and Quintana Roo; and with possible dust storms in Chihuahua, Durango, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosi, Zacatecas and Aguascalientes.

Expected maximum and minimum temperatures

• Maximum temperatures of 40 to 45 degrees: Baja California and Sonora.
• From 35 to 40 degrees: Baja California Sur, Campeche, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Colima, Durango, Guerrero, Jalisco, Michoacan, Nayarit, Nuevo Leon, Oaxaca, San Luis Potosi, Sinaloa, Tamaulipas, Yucatan and Zacatecas.
• From 30 to 35 degrees: Chiapas, Morelos, Quintana Roo, Tabasco and Veracruz.
• Minimum temperatures of 0 to 5 degrees: mountainous areas of Baja California, Chihuahua, Durango, State of Mexico, Hidalgo, Puebla, Tlaxcala and Veracruz.
