When does El Buen Fin 2024 start and how long will it last? – Grupo Milenio

Since 2011, Mexico has gathered the most anticipated offers of the year over a long weekend, in which consumers can enjoy special prices in thousands of establishments. If you are waiting for this time, we tell you when is it The Good End 2024.

What is The Good End?

It is an annual commercial event in Mexico made up of the promotion and distribution of products and services by various companies in order to encourage consumption, through promotions such as discounts and interest-free monthly loans.

The Good End is inspired by the Black Fridaywhich is celebrated in the United States one day after Thanksgiving and marks the beginning of the Christmas shopping season, in the last week of November.

The Mexican campaign emerged as an initiative of the Business Coordinating Councilin partnership with the federal government, private sector organizations and banking institutions. The first edition took place from November 18 to 21, 2011.

When is El Buen Fin 2024?

According to the Ministry of Economy, the dates of El Buen Fin 2024 are from November 15 to 18. In this edition, the event operates under the Operating Rules established by:

  • Ministry of Economy
  • SAT
  • Ministry of Tourism (Sectur)
  • Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco)
  • Business Coordinating Council (CCE)
  • Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Concanaco Servitur)
  • National Association of Self-Service and Department Stores (ANTAD)
  • Association of Banks of Mexico (ABM)
  • National Chamber of the Radio and Television Industry (CIRT)
  • Mexican Internet Association (AIMX)
  • Mexican Online Sales Association (AMVO)

As of July 1, the period for registering companies and individuals interested in participating in the fourteenth edition of El Buen Fin began.

Companies and individuals who register may make legal use of the El Buen Fin brand. Registration is free at this linkcomplying with the requirements established in the operating rules available on the website.

The results of the last edition exceeded expectations, both in sales in physical stores and online, by almost triple the projections. Consumption grew 11.5 percent, reaching the 151 billion pesos in transactionsauthorities of the Ministry of Economy and the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Concanaco Servytur).

According to the confederation, El Buen Fin 2023 was “the best edition that has been had in its history.” The results of the last edition even exceeded the pre- and post-pandemic levels. In a statement they noted that only in the country’s capital HE They sold more than 23,900 million pesos.

Recommendations if you will buy at El Buen Fin 2024

The Federal Consumer Protection Agency released a series of recommendations to avoid unnecessary purchases that are harmful to your economy.

  • Think before you buy: Consider if you need it, the payment options and if you can purchase something without affecting your finances in the short and long term.
  • Make a list of needs: Acquire durable or truly essential consumer goods. Avoid unnecessary expenses.
  • Buy informed: Before the Good End, review the information on the good or service you wish to purchase so that you are well aware of what it consists of.
  • Compare prices: They may be different in stores or online. Consult the Who’s Who in Prices (QQP) of the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) or Internet portals.
  • Check out offers and promotions: Whether it’s months without interest, bonuses on payments with cash or with some bank cards, check them.
  • Check product availability: It is the supplier’s obligation to indicate that the goods are not available when their stock is exhausted.
  • Review delivery terms, conditions and costs: It is important that you know that the supplier is obliged to comply with them.
  • Consult terms and conditions of the guarantees: Any good or service that is offered with a guarantee must be subject to the provisions of the Federal Consumer Protection Law (LFPC) and the agreement between you and the supplier.
  • Check the exchange or return policies: Remember that they must be current to make them valid.
  • Save payment receipts: They will be useful to you in case of clarifications. Request them in each transaction.
