King III highlighted the differences between Harris and Trump, pointing out how the vice president, who could make history as the first woman to reach the White House, He was raised in the African-American church, which has played a key role in the political life of the black community.

“Harris has fought for justice her entire career,” said King III, who expressed hope that as president she can strengthen the protections of the right to vote.

In contrast, he warned that Trump is trying to “undermine” the rights of Americans “for his own benefit” and recalled that the former president (2017-2021) has suggested using the armed forces of USA against a supposed “internal enemy.”

“Trump is an existential threat to our democracy. We must all get involved and participate in elections if we want to defend our rights and maintain our commitment to justice. Democracy is only as strong as our will to fight for it,” he concluded.
