Mexico stocks higher at close of trade; S&P/BMV IPC up 1.07% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Mexico, the gained 1.07%.

The best performers of the session on the were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV:), which rose 4.31% or 12.14 points to trade at 293.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV (BMV:) added 3.96% or 0.54 points to end at 14.19 and Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:) was up 3.43% or 0.49 points to 14.79 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:), which fell 1.92% or 0.48 points to trade at 24.52 at the close. Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:) declined 1.00% or 1.53 points to end at 151.79 and Kimberly – Clark De Mexico A (BMV:) was down 0.59% or 0.18 points to 30.50.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 151 to 76 and 19 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.07% or 28.90 to $2,736.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.88% or 1.33 to hit $69.34 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.64% or 1.22 to trade at $73.23 a barrel.

USD/MXN was up 0.24% to 19.88, while EUR/MXN rose 0.57% to 21.60.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 103.30.
