An attack carried out by armed civilians against elements of the Mexican Army in the town of Higueras de Abuya, belonging to the municipality of Culiacánleft several soldiers injured and one dead.
The events occurred when Army personnel were carrying out patrol work in the area, at which point they were ambushed by heavily armed civilians. In the attack, it was reported several soldiers injuredwho were immediately taken to a hospital to receive medical attention.
Unfortunately, one of the elements entered the hospital without vital signs, as confirmed by official sources. So far, the health status of the other injured soldiers is unknown.
The authorities have deployed a search operation in the region to find those responsible for this aggression.
Military reinforces security in Sinaloa
On October 15, around 150 elements of the Sedena arrived in Sinaloa to join the preventive and intelligence work in the entity, this, in coordination with the National guard and the Ministry of Public Security of the state.
The arrival of the military elements to the operational deployments took place at the Costa Rica booth, in Culiacán, where the contingent, of 150 elements, were received by Special Forces of the Mexican Army, who will also join the Ocelotl armored units.
It is worth mentioning that these units are deployed in the state capital for prevention and inhibition of criminal acts.
With this operational reinforcement, federal and state corporations expand the areas of opportunity to provide the security that the population deserves.
