Coppel; Productivity will grow 25% with new Cedis in Texcoco- Grupo Milenio

The president of the group Coppel, Agustín Coppel, reported that the Retail productivity will increase 25 percent, after the inauguration of its new distribution center in Texcoco.

During the opening of this new unit, Agustin Coppel highlighted that said Cedis had an investment of more than one thousand 200 million pesoswhich is why it promises to be the largest and most technological of the corporate, with which they will seek greater competitiveness in the face of increased competition in the country.

“We have the objective that with everyone’s work this distribution center will increase our regional productivity by 25 percent above the national average, providing better service, bringing more products closer and with greater opportunity,” he expressed.

Strategy to strengthen service in physical channel and e-commerce

“It is going to cost us all time, effort and intelligence to overcome all the operational challenges of this great logistics center. We must not get lost along the way. We want this Cedis Texcoco to be not only the largest, but also the largest and Coppel’s production,” he added.

“We are optimistic about the future of Mexico in the management of the company and how could we not be with the support we have received from opportunities, with this very relevant productive investment and with this entire first-class team working daily to better serve our clients,” express.

This Cedis is twice as large as the Zócalo esplanade and will supply more than 225 thousand products daily to 235 stores in 35 cities in the center and south of the country.

New sources of employment

Coppel has state-of-the-art systems and will seek to cover more than 9 million digital clients with delivery date compliance of more than 95 percent, even though it is in remote areas of the country.

In terms of sustainability, it will generate 750 thousand KWh per year through 917 solar panels that save 329 tons of CO2.

At the moment, Coppel has 29 distribution centers in 1,800 stores in 627 cities in the country and has a network of more than 600 suppliers.
