Wolves manager Gary O’Neil has been summoned by the Football Association (FA) to shed light on his comments following his side’s loss to Manchester City over the weekend.
O’Neil watched bitterly as his team succumbed to a last-gasp winner from John Stones after defending gallantly against the champions at home.

Jørgen Strand Larsen had given them a surprise lead after only seven minutes, but Josko Gvardiol replied with a belter to equalise proceedings.
With Pep Guardiola’s side seemingly heading to dropping points, Stones stepped up with another late goal to ensure three points.
John Stones’ controversial goal vs Wolves
The goal came under controversial circumstances. It had initially been disallowed as the officials checked the offside call on Bernardo Silva. The Portuguese winger leaned on goalkeeper Jose Sa as the ball came. After a pitch-side review, referee Chris Kavanagh gave the goal.
The decision infuriated O’Neil, who lashed out at Premier League officials during his post-match conference. The 41-year-old insinuated that the decisions are much more likely to go the way of ‘bigger’ teams in the Premier League.
“There’s no chance people are purposely against Wolves, let’s be clear. But is there something in the subconscious around the decision-making – without even knowing it, are you more likely to give it to Man City than Wolves?” he said, as quoted by Hayters TV.
Sky Sports reports that the FA has now asked the Wolves boss to provide his observations of the game after his comments. The association frowns upon players and managers questioning referees’ decisions.
