Skipper George Thomason is set to be out of action until the end of November after picking up a hamstring injury in training.
In more positive news, Wanderers hope to have Eoin Toal back available providing he is passed by a neurologist.
The defender reported some dizziness while on international duty with Northern Ireland but his scans have come back clear.
Nathan Baxter has also been making positive progress with his thigh injury, although Evatt was tight-lipped over the goalkeeper’s chances of being involved at St Andrew’s.
As for the hosts, Emil Hansson is a doubt after limping off against Lincoln over the weekend and Scott Wright was absent from the squad against the Imps.

Birmingham have made a strong start to the campaign as they aim to make an immediate return to the Championship.
The Blues have won eight of their 10 league games so far, with their only defeat coming against Charlton at the Valley.
Chris Davies’ side came from behind to beat Lincoln on Saturday, with Keshi Anderson bagging a brace and Willum Willumsson also on target.
Davies took up the hot seat in the summer following a spell as Ange Postecoglou’s assistant at Tottenham. He also previously worked alongside Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool and Celtic among others.

Wanderers have faced Birmingham 132 in their history, with a record of 53 wins, 34 draws and 45 defeats.
The Whites secured a 1-0 victory on their last trip to St Andrew’s in February 2019, with Callum Connolly scoring the only goal.
Bolton won by the same scoreline at the Toughsheet Community Stadium several months prior thanks to Josh Magennis’ finish.
