TO Patricia Jiménez Pons has been passionate about Mexican traditions since she was a child: “The village fairs and especially the markets of Jamaica, La Merced, Xochimilco or La Lagunilla always had an attraction for me, when I walked through them hypnotized by the avalanche of colors and sounds, holding my mother’s hand.”
He says that At the beginning it was not the dances or the traditions but the flow of sounds and the colors of the celebrations she witnessed: “It was very easy and not by chance, it was a love for what was ours that always seemed to be a part of me; my love for music, dance and traditions filled every little bit of that little girl of only six years old, who filled her eyes and heart with a world that would open up for me as if I were predestined,” says Jiménez Pons.

They were my guides, my teachers for almost 40 years of my life as a journalist and promoter of traditional culture in Morelos.”
