In an operation carried out by federal forces and the Mexican Army in the municipality of Erongarícuaro, a warehouse was seized where a suspected criminal was killed. Weapons and several vehicles were also confiscated at the scene.
The operation was carried out after an armed confrontation between alleged criminals and federal forces in the vicinity of the municipality. The attackers, while trying to flee, took refuge in a building located on Salazar Street in the San Miguel neighborhood.
Upon entering the scene, federal forces found one of the alleged criminals dead, who was carrying a long gun and a short one, while his accomplices managed to escape. Various vehicles and weapons were also seized at the scene.
The National Guard and the Mexican Army secured the area, while the staff of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) took charge of the initial investigations and the collection of evidence to clarify the events.
