Evelyn Salgado deploys Guerrero’s operational force against ‘John’ – Grupo Milenio

To attend to the population and the effects left in its wake hurricane John in the Costa Chica region, Governor Evelyn Salgado Pinedaaccompanied by the national coordinator of Civil Protection, Laura Velázquez Alzúa, They made a tour to provide immediate help to families who suffered damage to their homes.

Through a live broadcast, the state leader shared that, as part of her tour, They began by visiting the municipalities of San Marcos, Florencio Villarreal, and Cuautepecwhere they learned firsthand what the primary needs of the population and reiterated that there is great collaboration between the different levels of government, to reestablish services and assist families in their needs.

To this end, a strategy was implemented by the state, where through the Commission of Highway and Airport Infrastructure of the State of Guerrero (Cicaeg), the Commission of Drinking Water, Sewerage and Sanitation of the State of Guerrero (Capaseg), the Secretariat of Welfare, the Secretariat of Education Guerrero (SEG), the Secretariat of Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection Guerrero, the DIF Guerrero, among other agencies, Aid is being provided to the different communities for actions such as the reopening of roads, attention to the issue of housing damage, flooding, drinking water supplysupply of medicines and food, just to mention a few.

In parallel, the implementation of the DN-III Plan, the Navy Plan and the National Guard Plan continues, in support of the population, in addition to the 170 shelters were set up on the Costa Chica, to provide immediate attention if necessary. To do this, a thorough review of each community and municipality is carried out, in coordination with the different levels of government.
