When Bea and Miki met at a costume party thanks to a curious anecdote, neither of them knew that that coincidence was going to lead to a beautiful love story that, eight years later, would end in a house, a dog and a wedding. As is normal for every bride, she acknowledges that she looked at many designs from other brides that inspired her, but without being carried away by trends, but rather by what she likes and suits her.

In Bea’s case, she started from a middle ground, since she knew that she did not want to wear a veil or a train, but, as usually happens, many other ideas emerged little by little in the atelier. “I was inspired by a white dress that the protagonist of the series The Time Between the Seams wore in one of the chapters and I combined it with the image of a forest fairy that I had always had in mind,” she explains.

© Esif PhotographyTo give life to those ideas that she had in her head, she chose the Valenzuela brand, since they knew how to understand her perfectly from the beginning – “almost better than myself” – she says. “I had a lot feeling throughout the process with the entire team, especially with María, who, as soon as I showed her the photo of the dress I wanted to base it on and explained the inspiration I had, gave me incredible ideas to carry it out, including things that in At first I thought they didn’t suit me, like the embroidery, it was exactly what my dress was missing, as she made me see, proposing a beautiful embroidered bamboo fabric for the skirt.”

First, with the photo of the dress that appeared in the series, we saw what the shape would be, deciding the length, the neckline, the back… and, later, came the fabrics, which were a big surprise because I would never have imagined marrying linen, in the case of the body, or with an embroidered fabric, in the case of the skirt,” she admits.

One of the challenges was how to keep the shoulders covered in the church and provide the effect of a veil and train, since I was not going to wear either of the two, without giving up the beautiful silhouette that they had devised for the dress, something they achieved. without a problem from Valenzuela thanks to a very light layer that did not add heaviness, but rather perfectly completed the dreamlike image that Bea likes so much. “The truth is that the result seemed incredible to me,” he says.

In her case, the ‘something blue’ was the ribbon on the bouquet, the ‘something new’ in the earrings, a gift from Miki’s family, and the ‘something old and something borrowed’ in the shoes, an old pair of her mother who redesigned and adapted to her size.

For the makeup I wanted something natural and luminous, because I normally wear very little makeup, and I have always imagined the hairstyle with a semi-updo, like I usually wear my hair on a daily basis, and add some natural flowers to give it a country touch, which was the paniculata.”
