In addition to exercising, 22,016 runners joined the cause of Bimbo Global Race 2024that this year delivered 440,320 slices of bread to the Food Bank in Mexico.
Oliva Harfuch, from the Food Bank in Mexico, received the symbolic donation of slices of bread, given to him by Juan Nosti, marketing director of Grupo Bimbo; and thanked the brand and the runners for joining the cause to benefit vulnerable communities.
At around 9 in the morning, Paseo de la Reforma, in front of the IMSS offices, was the setting for the delivery of the donation; there while some people lined up to take a photo with the Bimbo Bear, others witnessed the donation and some concluded their participation in the family walk, which closed the coexistence after the 5 km races were held. and 10 km.
After the delivery of the donation, the award ceremony for the 10-kilometer race began; and that’s how Nayeli Evangelista Ramos, from Mexico (3rd place); Sandra Marcela Rosas Rodríguez from Colombia (2nd place); and Alejandra Martínez from Mexico (1st, place) went up to the podium to receive their awards.
Juan Nosti was in charge of delivering the awards, diploma, flowers and wine, to the winners in the men’s branch.
Third place went to Victor Daniel Perezwho did the race in 40 minutes 13 seconds; Franklin Téllez Rodríguez, from Colombiawho placed second by completing the route in 38 minutes 26 seconds; and Rubén Sebastián Barbosa Castro, also from Colombia, who with 30 minutes 39 seconds was the first place winner.
Children, adolescents and adults were attentive at the awards ceremony of the race that also took place in Monterrey, Guadalajara, Puebla and Veracruz; in addition to all the countries where Bimbo’s philosophy of “Sharing the good” is replicated, including: Spain, Chile, China, Brazil, Ecuadro and Canada
This year, in which theIn version 9 of the Bimbo Global Race, 34 countries participated and the goal was to make a donation of 3 million slices of bread, through the participation of 150 thousand runners.
