Princess Beatrice left ‘devastated’ over Prince Andrew drama, ‘avoids’ Royal Lodge: report

Princess Beatrice left ‘devastated’ over Prince Andrew drama, ‘avoids’ Royal Lodge: report

Princess Beatrice is “heartbroken” and “devastated” over the drama surrounding her disgraced father, Prince Andrew, according to a report.

The Princess of York, 36, was featured in Amazon Prime’s “A Very Royal Scandal” — a dramatized take on the infamous 2019 BBC interview where Andrew commented publicly on his dealings and relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

As a result, Beatrice is now “sick of being humiliated” and feels “stuck in the middle” of the controversies surrounding her scandal-scarred father.

“It’s a stress hole there and for some reason, Beatrice always gets stuck in the middle of things, playing peacemaker on behalf of her dad,” a source told New Idea Magazine, via GB News.

“She doesn’t want to be doing that anymore and she recognizes it’s been a pattern all her life.”

“No one wants to be around him when he’s dealing with so much right now. Beatrice is brokenhearted, of course,” the insider added.

The source said that Beatrice, who is very much a “daddy’s girl,” is now “desperately” hoping for the hype surrounding the TV series to blow over.

“A Very Royal Scandal” specifically follows reporter Emily Maitlis (played by Golden Globe winner Ruth Wilson) as she chases the story and lands the interview, before dramatizing the actual events leading up to and during the interview with Prince Andrew (played by Golden Globe nominee Michael Sheen).

The show, which is the third series in a critically acclaimed anthology about British political and royal scandals, debuted exclusively on Prime Video earlier this month.

Elsewhere, palace insiders told the outlet that Beatrice is now steering clear of the Royal Lodge, her father’s royal residence.

Andrew has resided at the plush $38 million property, located on the grounds of Windsor Castle, since 2004. He lives there with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.

Andrew has been ignoring his brother King Charles’ requests of downsizing to the smaller Frogmore Cottage, which currently sits empty.

Instead, Andrew reportedly hopes to wait it out, and leave the royal digs to Beatrice and her sister Eugenie as an inheritance.
