Zamora, Michoacan /
A young man was injured after being shot at by unknown people. In an attempt to escape the attack, he stripped a woman of her motorcycle. When fleeing in the opposite direction, he collided with another motorcycle, whose driver fled.
The events occurred this Monday afternoon on Rodolfo Paniagua Avenue, near the Maracaná Courts. Authorities were alerted to an apparent traffic accident in the area and, upon arrival, found a young man lying on the ground next to a destroyed motorcycle.
When checking the injured man, the police realized that he had injuries from gunshots, so they immediately requested the support of an ambulance. Rescue paramedics went to the scene to treat the young man. He was taken to a hospital, where his condition was reported as delicate.
The area was cordoned off by the police, who located several 9-millimeter shell casings at the scene. Minutes later, a woman arrived at the scene stating that the young man had taken away his red motorcycle, because armed individuals were chasing him.
The incident was under investigation by the Michoacán Prosecutor’s Office, whose agents and experts began the corresponding investigations to clarify the facts and find those responsible for the attack.
