Julio Omar Gomezthe journalist who won the watch raffle of Andrés Manuel López Obradorrevealed that he received large offers for sell the watch of the now former president of Mexico.
On September 30, López Obrador raffled off his watch among the 86 journalists and photographers who were more constant in the press conferences held during his six-year term.
The winner was Julio Omar Gomezfrom the middle Without Points or Commas TVwho came to receive the award emotionally and took advantage of the moment to hug the now former president.

In an interview for a local media, Gómez said that, upon hearing his name, his emotion was not so much because of the watch, but because knew that he could approach the then president.
“I couldn’t believe it and I ran to hug himI told him that I loved him very much and that the object is like a plus, which I take with me as a souvenir of him. (…) It filled me with a lot of emotion.”

“There was a big risk that they would take my watch”
He commented that he already kept the watch in a very safe place because, since it left the National Palace, there were people who wanted to see and touch the clock.
“I had to leave through the citizen service door, they told me ‘it’s better that you go out through another door’ and I had to wait a little while to be able to leave. (…) There was a lot of risk of having it taken away from me.

Gómez said he received offers for the watch from the moment he had it in his hands, being one million pesos the highestand that there were colleagues who recommended him sell it soon.
“The most absurd (offer) they made me, right there at the conference(it was) from some colleagues, it was 10 (thousand), 20, 50, 100 (thousand) and the last offer was a million pesos.
