Colombian singer and composer J Balvin will receive the award Billboard Spirit of Hope at the Billboard Awards of Latin Music 2024, which will be awarded in Miami (Florida), for their “outstanding philanthropic efforts” through their Vibra en Alta Foundation.
José Osorio Balvin (MedellÃn, 1985), known as J Balvin, will also sing at the awards gala which will be broadcast on Sunday, October 20 at 9:00 p.m. local time (01:00 GMT on Monday) on Telemundo, the television channel reported this Wednesday in a statement.
“I am very honored to be recognized with such a special award. It is important to me, as the artist that I am today and as that little boy with dreams that I once was, and still am, to be able to support and guide the next generation towards their own realities,” J Balvin said in the statement.
