The Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Juan Ramón de la Fuente, began his administration with two high-level meetings with a governor of the United States and a legislative representative of the Chinese government, as well as with the ambassador of that country.
On his social networks he first announced his meeting with the governor of California, Gavin Newson, along with his wife Jen Siebel Newsom, to talk about a program to strengthen consular services for Mexicans in that state.
“Chancellor Juan Ramón de la Fuente received the governor of California, @CAGovernor, and his wife, @JenSiebelNewsom, at the @SRE_mx.
At the meeting they agreed to begin the program to strengthen and modernize consular services for the benefit of fellow citizens in California, the state where the largest of the 53 consulates in the United States is located, the @ConsulMexLan,” the Foreign Ministry wrote on its social networks.
On the other hand, de la Fuente had a meeting with the vice president of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China, Tie Ning, and the Chinese ambassador, Zhang Run, to talk about the collaboration between both countries.
