Residents of the community of Tres Cruces, municipality of Acatepec, located the body of a woman who was buried by an alud of land in the Alta Mountain of Guerrero.
According to Eufemio Cesáreo Sánchez, former coordinator of the Caxitepec Community Police, belonging to the same municipality, the discovery was recorded on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 1, when a brigade of residents of Tres Cruces was trying to reopen the passage on their road that was covered by the softening of the hills.
At the point known as Cerro del Gavilán, on the Ayutla-Mexcaltepec highway, The brigade members located the body of a woman, which was already in a state of decomposition.
According to the information they obtained, the woman is originally from Villa de Guadalupe, a community that belongs to the same municipality and apparently was trying to reach said town, when she was surprised by the landslide of the hill.
The body was taken to Tres Cruces, where it was expected until the afternoon of this Wednesday, October 2, for the Acatepec receivership or the Public Ministry of Common Jurisdiction (MPFC) to arrive to remove the body.
Since this did not happen, it was decided in the community that the commissioner would be the one to assume the role of MP, drawing up the corresponding minutes and delivering the woman’s body to her family.
Cesáreo Sánchez maintained that Acatepec is one of the municipalities most affected by the hurricane’s rainfall John, at the same time, one of those that have received the least official attention, due to the situation of isolation with respect to the state capital.
