The Energy Commission of the Senate of the Republic ratified, in fast trackthe appointment of Juan José Paullada Figueroa as independent director of Mexican Petroleum (Pemex).
In just 180 seconds, this commission processed the appointment and its president, the Morenista Laura Itzel Castilloconsidered that Paullada Figueroa “has a great and important professional career.”
Paullada Figueroa will remain in office for five more years; her previous term ended on September 30.
During the meeting, the Morena senator asked if any legislator wanted to make a comment, but no one asked to speak, so the vote and ratification of the proposal for the independent director of Pemex to continue in office until on December 8, 2025.
Juan José Paullada Figueroa has a degree in Law from the Anáhuac University, has a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California and postgraduate studies in Economics in the area of Public Finance from Boston University, in addition to postgraduate studies in Tax Law at Harvard University.
