Among them, the remnants of Tropical Depression Once-Elocated in the southeast of the country, play a crucial role in the generation of intense rains in at least 7 states, in two of them torrential.
Added to this phenomenon is the monsoon trougha low pressure trough that extends from the north to the southwest of the Gulf of Mexico, and instability at high levels of the atmosphere, factors that together are intensifying the storm.
The National Weather Service (SMN) reported that the cyclone will maintain the rain storm intense to torrential, accompanied by electric shocks, in the south, southeast, center and west of Mexico, as well as the Yucatan Peninsula.
Where will there be rain due to the possible storm ‘Kristy’?
The circulation of the cyclone, as well as other phenomena distributed in the country, will cause the following rainfall:
- Intense rains with occasional torrential rains (150 to 250 mm): Oaxaca and Veracruz.
- Very heavy rains with intense occasional events (75 to 150 mm): Campeche, Chiapas, Guerrero, Tabasco and Yucatán.
- Heavy rains with very strong spots (50 to 75 mm): Puebla, Quintana Roo and Tamaulipas.
- Intervals of showers with heavy occasional rains (25 to 50 mm): Colima, State of Mexico, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Michoacán, Morelos, San Luis Potosà and Tlaxcala.
- Shower intervals (5 to 25 mm): Mexico City, Coahuila, Nayarit and Nuevo León.
- Isolated rains (0.1 to 5 mm): Guanajuato and Querétaro.
How will the temperature be?
The agency indicated that a cold air mass It will maintain the morning atmosphere cool to cold over entities in the north and center of the territory.
Expected maximum and minimum temperatures
- Maximum temperatures above 45 °C: Baja California and Sonora.
- Maximum temperatures of 40 to 45 °C: Baja California Sur and Sinaloa.

- Maximum temperatures of 30 to 35 °C: Campeche, western Chihuahua, Coahuila, Colima, western Durango, Jalisco, Michoacán, Nuevo León, Quintana Roo, Tamaulipas and Yucatán.
- Minimum temperatures of -5 to 0 °C for early Saturday: mountainous areas of Chihuahua, Durango and the State of Mexico.
- Minimum temperatures of 0 to 5 °C for early Saturday morning: mountainous areas of Aguascalientes, Mexico City, Coahuila, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Michoacán, Nuevo León, Puebla, Querétaro, San Luis PotosÃ, Tlaxcala, Veracruz and Zacatecas.
‘North’ wind in Mexico
- Wind from the north with gusts of 50 to 70 km/h and waves of 1 to 2 meters high: coasts of Veracruz; and with gusts of 40 to 60 km/h: coasts of Tamaulipas and Tabasco.
- Wind with gusts of 40 to 60 km/h and waves of 1 to 2 meters high: coasts of Oaxaca and Guerrero.
- Wind with gusts of 40 to 60 km/h and possible dust devils: Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León, San Luis PotosÃ, Zacatecas, Durango, Sinaloa, Aguascalientes, Jalisco, Guanajuato, Querétaro and Hidalgo.
