The process began when he proposed what she wanted, “a very handmade dress, one of those that you notice have hours of work, with a fitted bodice and a skirt where the silk satin fits with more airy fabrics.“, and a fundamental detail was that it was midior at least a part of it, as he tells us. “Isabel invented how to have a design midibut with a tail at the same time. Based on my ideas, he made me a sketch that, test after test, we shaped, modifying some things and adding others, such as the front and back scarves that came out of the body of the dress or the sleeves with the embroidery,” she recalls.

This airy fabric is sewn to the body of the dress, so to have the second look we unstitched this skirt and it ended up with the same body and a skirt without a train so it was very comfortable for the dance and the party.”

“He made up a whole plan where we were going to have dinner at a special restaurant with the excuse that it was because he knew someone there. We love going out to eat and trying new restaurants, so it seemed like the perfect plan to get ready and have dinner somewhere delicious. It was a cold February night in Madrid and I remember that I only saw him nervous at the time of getting into the taxi to go, I didn’t understand anything and in fact I even told him that if he didn’t feel like it that we weren’t going that nothing would happen, which of course he answered no, no, of course we were going (of course, normal…)” he remembers.

As an anecdote to remember, Claudia tells us what happened that summer afternoon. “It started raining just before dinner! It rained for two hours, which lasted for dinner.. But as something good comes out of every bad thing, the attitude of the guests who completely came out on top was spectacular, and the atmosphere was already good, it was better than we could have ever imagined!”
“The dinner was super lively and when my lifelong friends surprised us with some mariachis in the middle of dinner, it was already unleashed! People were euphoric, singing the songs…No one sat down, it was so fun that I remember this moment super special. At the end of the day, this was the most important thing for Borja and me, that people enjoyed themselves, that they had a good time, and despite the setback everything turned out great.”
