Aeroméxico pilots extend their strike deadline to October 8 – Grupo Milenio

The Union Association of Aviator Pilots (ASPA) announced an extension to next October 8 to its limit to break out the strike at Grupo Aeroméxico, since the date was the first minute of November 2024.

For its part, the Aviation Flight Attendants Union Association (ASSA) indicated that after this decision the company’s operations will continue without any changes.

The first Aeroméxico proposal that ASPA analyzed was a 6.75 percent increase in salary, in addition to other points that have to do with benefits.

In recent days, pilots have held a series of demonstrations at the airline’s offices and at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) to make known that they want to improve their economic perception, since it was affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

The union organization said that another proposal included is the reduction in the allocation of four landings per day, with the possibility of a fifth that is made with prior notice.

He indicated that currently in the labor contract there are six landing assignments per day.

Grupo Aeroméxico is one of the main airlines in Mexico with a fleet of more than 170 teams, with flights to the American, European and Asian continents.
