Automotive companies present their proposals to Sheinbaum – Grupo Milenio

The Mexican Association of the Automotive Industry (AMIA) presented, on behalf of the entire national sector, a decalogue of proposals-commitment to the president Claudia Sheinbaum.

In a statement he stated that this was presented to Altagracia Gomezcoordinator of the government’s business advisory council.

He highlighted that there are 10 points that are essential to achieve an effective transition towards a better shared future, among which stand out: joint work to develop a comprehensive public policy for the electromobilityand the construction of adequate conditions between industry and government to improve already established operations.

They also ask to improve Mexico’s energy matrix and its reliability, to satisfy the needs of the automotive companies in meeting its global environmental goals, including its supply chain.

They also require that the physical and digital infrastructure be strengthened to streamline customs and foreign trade operations.

They ask for the full use of international trade agreements, in addition to taking care of the T-MECand jointly promote the adaptation of the automotive workforce, in accordance with current demand.

GM goes for record

By the end of this year, General Motors of Mexico will reach a new record in vehicle production of 900 thousand units, of which 120 thousand will be electric vehiclesrevealed Francisco Garza, president of General Motors of Mexico.

He told MILLENNIUM that these figures will represent a new record for the entire automotive industry in this country, because never before, no other company had reached these figures.

Among the models that the company currently makes in Mexico are the Chevrolet Equinox and Blazer, as well as a new Cadillac model, and soon the Hummer Electric cars, which will be sold with chargers for homes and offices, accompanied by a plan to develop charging infrastructure.
