Aviation and travel industry present themselves as employers during Career Experience

Despite the fact that Schiphol itself is not present, there are several companies that handle flights at the airport. These are companies such as KLM, Dnata and Swissport.

This is the tenth time that this event takes place. Previously, the event was known as the Beroepenmarkt. This year, it has been given a new name and a new meaning, and the emphasis is more on experiencing the (business) travel and aviation industry.

“This edition we are really focusing on the experience, in the broadest sense of the word. We want to inspire visitors by literally visualizing the various facets of the travel and aviation industry. In addition to fascinating presentations and informative stands, there will also be many attributes that appeal to the imagination. On March 18, we will really take the visitor into the field for a day. The target group of this event are students and job seekers with their partners and/or parents. It is emphatically not a networking event for commercial reasons. The latter to give the target group the best possible opportunity to spar with the companies present,” reports event manager Jeanelle van Baarsen.

“During the Career Experience, we show visitors how versatile the travel and aviation industry actually is. From technician to pilot and from ground stewardess, tour guide, (independent) travel agent, business travel salesperson, air traffic controller, flight handler to military, it is all covered. Not only the work field but also the education field is present to inform visitors. We hope to have surprised them completely at the end of the day with how interesting and especially fun the travel industry is,” she continues.

“Various presentations will be given, both by exhibitors and by appealing speakers and actors. Here too, the goal is to really inspire the visitor. So there will be no long and monotonous presentations, but interactive and to the point. In addition, we offer visitors the opportunity to meet the various professionals from the field. You can ask them questions and ask for advice. Visitors are also welcome to bring their CV. Who knows, a match may be found right away. In addition, there are various stands where you can work on a professional profile of an employee. Think of a photographer for the perfect LinkedIn photo or advice on how to best conduct a job interview.”
